I would skip the pleco in the breeding tank, they have been known to eat fish eggs. He'll eat them while the parents are sleeping at night.

I have 2 O's in my 55 gal and they are doing just fine I also have an african butterfly, a rope eel and a pleco. The O's are about 6" each and the butterfly is 2" and the plecoo is just over 6", and the eel is about 8" i am amazed as to why they did not eat the butterfly they have eated everything else such as a green spotted puffer a dragon fish another smaller oscar three plecos and soo many feeders i cannot even count can anyone tell me why they would leave the butterfly.
P.S. I have known hundreds of people who have kept oscars in 55's and smaller and seen them grow to full size 16" or more. My friend has 6 10"ers in his 55 and they have been there breeding for years. I think it depends on who keeps them.

I am plannning to stock a 100 G with 5 Os. i am also planning to have potential tankmates such as common plecos and loaches. too bad, here in our place, the LFS only sells 3" clowns.

i it possible for me to stock my 100 G with this? i mean practically?

2 of the Os is my pair and they already laid eggs twice..

i just need some intelligent suggetions and ideas.

Way too many.

Definitely not a good idea.

That tank will be over stocked with the oscars on its own, id leave it as it is.

:ROFL::ROFL: No you wouldn't!!! We've seen your tanks!!!:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:;)

That many o's in a tank will be really overcrowded, I have 4 o's in a 110 gallon, they are around 7" long and I am upsizing the tank asap! One of them was a rescue the people who had him were gonna flush him down tthe toilet cause they had to move and had nowhere to put him, so I couldn't see that go down...but I did plan on up sizing my tank situation. You have to remember the size that they mature to. If you never saw a full size one you should check it out . That will help you figure out what you need to do.
In the spring we plan on building our 5000 gallon tank. I wouldn't plan on putting any more than 2 o's in that size of tank unless you plan on up sizing. When they stat feeling overcrowded they fight lots so you might end up having to find another home in the long run.

They can get quite big....I once saw a monster 14" oscar that my aunt had given to her by someone. I asked her what the guy was feeding him and she said he was feeding canned dog food! If that is even healthy?....I don't know. He was very beautiful and I only wish I could get my hands on something like him! but that is something to consider when stocking a tank.
