:screwy:WTF is this in the CA/SA cichlid section?!:screwy:LOL

Read the thread and see what the stock is......................

And that stand looks great man. Can't see your fish, but you got some nice specimens I have to say. Good luck with it.

Nice set up! How are the rainbow rocks working out for you? I scrubbed and boiled mine for what seemed like forever and I still got some milky residue making my water cloudy. It was gone after a day or so of putting my carbon filter back in though.

Thanks guys...glad ya like it...I had no probs with the rocks at all CodZilla...the one thing I thought I would have probs with is the large piece of mopani wood...but after soaking it in a tub of water and changing the water every day for 4 days...it seems to have stopped leeching tannins.

The stocking of the tank is complete...and I am very happy with it...unfortuneatly my LFS was not able to find any Rotkeil anywhere...and I desided against the Braziliensis....so this is the finished stock:

2 Chocolate Cichlid
2 Super Red Severum
2 Firemouth
2 Red Tail Botia
1 Common Pleco

It's been a week and everyone is getting along fine...although the oldest Firemouth thinks he rules the tank....I suspect that will change as the other guys grow.

OMG you have 20 years experiance and you have a tank looking like that? cloudy, over crowded, unsuitable mates, you should be ashamed.

Tool? What you mean like a hammer or screwdriver? Wierd!

Ok, I'll knock off the 'cloudy' comment (although its easy to show a pic of a tank without cloudy water) but how about the way he has rammed every inch of tank with fish, making it WAY to over crowded, or the fact he has numerous types of unsuitable tank mates?

If this was a first timer asking for advice, then yes, I could understand making these mistakes, and would advise him to thin out his stock by half, and have a damn good look at the compatibility of his tank.
However this guy says he has 20 years 'experiance' making these mistakes unforgiveable:headbang2

Just left myself a note not to invite all of you to see my tanks. LOL They are crowded and my water is crystal clear.

As long as his filtration is good and the parameters are in order, which I bet theyare, the stocking will be fine. I think it looks cool!

Well...a few things have changed...LOL....I found a 125 gallon tank for next to nothing...so all the fish that were in the 100 gallon have been moved to the 125....and moved Rosie the Oscar into the 100 gallon...also....got rid of the Firemouths...they were being one HUGE pain in the behind to all the other fish in the tank...so...away they went to the LPS....I also moved my breeding pair of Angels in there....so this is how the 125 stands now:

125:
2 Chocolate Cichlid
2 Super Red Severum
2 Angelfish
2 Red Tail Botia
1 Common Pleco

100:
Rosie the oscar...all by herself...just the way she likes it....LOL

All is well in fish land...LOL
