posting has been deleted. Personally if I found a tank like that I wouldn't have posted it on here. I would have bought it myself, and then asked "how do I fix my new $150 1000 gal aquarium?", just me though!!! Hope you're the one who got it.
a 12'x3' piecee of "scrap"?DaveB;2946182; said:I'd assume you could just buy some scrap acrylic
thats more like custom order and you better be sitting down when you find out how much thats gonna cost ya. i would take the cost of the tank and the cost of the repair and just start with a new tank, minus the labour and headache.wow_it_esploded;2947089; said:You would not replace the whole pane but patch up the cracks by welding thinner acrylic sheets over them! Turns out the window is 34" tall! There is one door and one window in the house I could fit it through!!! I would actually put it on the living room and move the couch.
. I patched it up with acrylic cement something called weld-on??? or "weld" sometning.....and some "scrap" 1/4 thick acrylic. No leaks for two years now! I actually think it's stronger than it use to be. Thankfully it was the back panel so it's out of view, because the patch looks just like that....a patch lol.
