thanks for everyones help...i just filled the tank about 3/4 full and everything is nice and sturdy and holdin up...ill prolly wait another day or two to fill it up completely though to make sure theres no problems

I guess the only real way to find out is do a cannonball into the tank and when you come up for air see if you are downstairs or not...

The joists on my bedroom floor are 12inch apart my dad put 2 more in to be on the safe side..... mines 100G and glass.......to be honest the extra joist wasn't needed. and it's no where near the main support. been up for over a year and everything is fine!
