10x4x3 900 gallon plywood build w/ pics

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I brushed good coat of resin on then laid the glass then wetted it out with more resin. When I came back over with the second coat I could tell the plywood sucked some of the resin up.
The thin resin system I got was about like syrup. Hardley any odor.

So far I got them from other fishkeepers. I have a possible lead on warmouth and big bluegill. I'll probably get another channel from a buddies pond. I wish o had the time to relax and fish, but life with kids is still fun. The wife likes the idea of a long nose gar so we are keepig that idea open.
I did lose a bluegill the other nite. It messed up an eye somehow, probably hit the driftwood. The channel cat sensed its injury and was on it like stink on a pig.... The gar didn't help matters by ripping it up by morning.

I had a buddy years ago that kept Northern Pike and they were so sweet , the fish that are from local waterways have alot to be said for !

Sturgeon get long but they don't get very heavy we used to catch left and right in the spring while cat fishing. I'd go with a bowfin or a tiger muskie.

not really gonna have any plants in the tank for a pike or largemouth to feel comfortable laying in. the lighting will be too much for a walleye. no desire for a sturgeon at the moment. i read white bass can be hard to keep. i guess im kinda limiting my self to stock the tank. i had thought about a sheepshead just for something different.

ill try to get pics tonite, but i got the fiberglass sanded....... not a fun job at all, to keep it pg rated, lets just put it that way. got my sweetwater, so ill get that painted on this weekend.

Got the upper bracing and splash gaurds made today. Also the holes drilled for bulkheads. Ready for sweetwater ....
