gorgeous MALE festae!! absolutely beautiful! and i'm tired of ppl arguing about the sex of a festae, so i'm gonna tell u guys how to differentiate the two. if the tail, dorsal, and anal fins are heavily spangled, it's a MALE! the color don't always account for their sex.
Just to correct you the female festae can have spangling also. You can reference this with Jeff Rapps. He has an article on sexing festae. You cant always go by that and pointy fins.
Usually at that size the male rarely shows his vertical bars.

A male that big should have a slight bump on there forhead,right?! I could be wrong,no ones perfect!....The picture doesn't help much either....Beutiful fish dont get me wrong,but the sex?mmmmhhh?But your the experts,thanks for the link above that settles alot,dont it!dpk2313;4105810; said:
