11'' flowerhorn tankmates

your plan ain't going to work the way you think it will... not to mention 100g is way too small for giant gourami or red snakehead anyway

you're out luck when it comes to finding tankmates for an 11in flowerhorn. the only way i've ever seen or heard of them get along with other fish is if the flowerhorn is introduced at 2-4in with fish that are much bigger and already established in a tank.

just make that flowerhorn a single specimen tank. Your best bet would be a nice size pleco with a cave for it to retreat if things get to "hectic".

Ive also seen a large flowerhorn ( around 18-22 inches ) tolerate a flowerhorn around 3 inches in size. That would be a gamble (if you decide to try it ) .

I AM A FH LOVER AND HAVE NEVER FOUND THEM TO BE FRIENDLY IN A TANK LESS THAN 200 GALLONS. EVEN THEN THERE IS ALWAYS A CHANCE THAT THAT ATTITUDE WILL SHOW ITSELF AND YOU WILL GET UP AND FIND THAT A FISH WILL BE LOST

Exceptions to every rule.....I will say the best luck I've had with this sort of problem is using something like Africans or just fish way smaller (that don't look like feeders) because they don't see them as a threat or competition. There is no straight answer.....its a trial and error with an atta-boy and goodluck attached.

look at my sig people, yes they ( arow and FH) get along fine despite the size difference, FH is the dominant fish of that tank though, and im serious.

but the difference with what you have is you fh is only 3 inch, he's is a 11 incher.. i think 11 incher will be alot aggressive than a 3 incher...

i say just put him in a tank of his own as you can see he doesnt do well with tank mates. :headbang2
