fecundity..........that is a big word, I may try to use that in casual conversation today
 
these guys remind me of my friends parents... his dad broke a couple bones while rolling over in bed. Instead of fasting maybe you could just try to cut back on the food slowly maybe feed a little less each week.

Regarding a fasting period, I've found it easier to feed large food about three times a week, and just small amounts of mysis or enriched brine (i.e. hard to eat in one gulp) every other day. The fish is forced to forage and graze if he's interested. That keeps their vitality up.

Good advice!

Feed massivore or the like a couple of times a week...and sinking NLS the other days...and don't feed one or two days per week.

I am so happy to have come upon this very thread. Thank's reverse I needed a good laugh. And great looking Dovii. I am sure he is healthy and happy. Except when he doesn't get his food!

Thanks, nice to see that one the cichla guys appreciate other fish. I usually get abused when I get into one of you guys threads.
