Really nice work. The stand is sturdy and built to last. Great job! I'm anxious to see how you do the canopy.

Thanks everyone. The skin is flush with the corner moulding. I put the skin on so that the corner moulding just barely stuck up and once the glue dried I sanded it down with a DA sander until it was smooth. It almost looks like one piece now. Alright, enough typing I'm going out to cut wood and I'll get some more pics up this weekend .
I got a little bit more done on the top. I ran out of the quarter round moulding with 1 piece to go for the bottom edge so back to the store.
I made a little progress today. Mocked up the hinge and gas props to see if it would work. Everything looks good except the props are a little weak. I took them off a tool box top I had. I will get some stronger ones ordered soon. These are 35#. I'm thinking about going with some that are 60#.

All the lights are here. The compact flourescent kits are from AH supply and the blue LED's are from superbrightleds.com. Still waiting for the stronger props to come in and everything to dry.
