dont blame him on the price, it wasn't even marked and the guy from the day before could have made up the 1499 or whatever...

nice fish and good pickup.

exactly, i think the guy just made up a price, because they usually go for more than 15$ right? i was questioning him about an unmarked rtc, i bet if i wanted to buy him when i got my payara i coulda got him for damn near nothing, but i didnt so give me a bit of credit

Thanks, his water quality IMO is perfect, and CRYSTAL clear. what kinda growth rate should he have? and what will he top out at?

growth rate is pretty slow. if u keep him solo or only with one or two other fish he will probably stay more comfortable. when i had mine with alot of tankmates, they didnt eat as much. sweet fish to watch eat.

Lol I think it was heaps cool how you tricked them into a cheaper price, if only you could haggle for fish.

How would you feel if someone did that to you?

No matter what you call it it's still stealing.

i would make sure my prices are on the tanks....nice pick-up

It could have been a "bait and switch" for failing to put a label on the fish. And really if they don't have the price on it they could have simply refused to sell it.

so you are saying if somebody offered you a $50 fish for $12 you wouldn't buy it?

By the sounds of things that guy had no idea how much that fish was worth. Prices are quite often negotiable before the price is on the tank, personally I think it's the shops fault for not having their pricing done.

Not if I had been told the price was 50.00 and the clerk was making a mistake.

If the owner sells it to me at a better price thats fine but it's not the clerks money.

Not really.... he had been told the price the day before but when he was asked the price he said a price that was $3.00 less.

I'm not trying to be holyier then thou..... I have lived my life this way and have tried to teach my children by example.

I have over heard people talking about me and it's nice when you are known as an honest person that tries to do the right thing.
