12 inch + Salvini

I had one that was 6-7" at one time...He was descaled with his eyes taken out by a breeding group of convicts!!!!!! Convicts imo are gram for gram the meanest little fish when breeding..

I seen one male on another forum with a tape measure at 10" before, never seen anything verified as larger though.

Its possible, so don't rule that guy out. you'd be surprised how some fish just continue to grow.

10-11 inch at my lfs a year or so ago looked soo old it was pinkish yellow with orange at its scales looked loose. must of been 10 years old

I guess it could be possible, what if it has a pituitary gland disorder that caused it to grow really big?
Kind of like this extra big convict....the one next to the 13" Jaguar.

There is a member here on mfk that has my pretty nice salvini at 8-9inch or so..

I don't think it's impossible for a male salvini to reach that size... but unless they have proof you can assume it's fake. The biggest I've seen was 9".
