Wow, i read through the whole thread and for the first time i think barbs are VERY intresting and fun to watch fish.

Your setup also gets 10 from me, simple and looks spectacular, i like the mixing of Filamentum and Tinfoils also.

Are these standard tinfoil barbs?

tough to say. they aren't showing dark lines on the caudal fin yet, but are showing black and white on the dorsal...soo...not sure.

in the past I have only ever kept the red tailed variety (no dark lines, no black on the dorsal) and they got 12" despite all the misinformation saying that they only get 8 inches etc.

the more I look at them, and you can see it in the pics if you look, they may be getting the black caudal lines which means they are probably standard tinfoils, not the redtail ones that seem to be more common.

time will tell I guess.
