thanks for your input everyone! the 120/100 setup won by a bigger margin than putin just won by.

the verdict is in and the setup will actually consist of a 120 over a 75 gallon. the decision was made due to a lack of funding for an adequate 100 gallon tank. I'll post some pictures of all the modifications once the new tank comes in.
