120/180 Gallon Stocking Ideas...

Hopefully you guys can help me out...I will be picking up a 120 or 180 gallon within a week or so. I've got my eye on a few fish that I'm really wanting, but I am wondering if they will work in the 120 or if I NEED the 180, the 180 is obviously a bit more expensive and my GF is again hating me for wanting another tank. So anyway...

1x Florida Gar
1x Ornate Bichir
1x BGK or Clown Knife

Any ideas? Thanks
 
I know...I want the 180 so bad, guy wants $500 for it though, no equipment just tank/stand/canopy
The 120 is $300 and comes with everything, granted its lower end equipment IMO...hang on back heater and filter....I plan on running a sump so im not to concerned with the equipment he gives me...
I've got a stealth heater that I will use and keep the HOB as a backup...maybe run the HOB in-sump to jump start bio cultures

I'm glad to hear positive feedback cause I really like these fish...top 5 for me...

Florida Gar
Black Ghost Knife
Fahaka Puffer
FW Stingrays (all)
 
you might wanna take the puffer out of the equation. puffers are really nippy and they have beaks so... (bad combo)
 
I'd leave the puffer and rays out, but the rest would be a pretty interesting stocklist regardless of the exclusion of the others. I would try to get an active fish or two in there since some of those are not particularly active
 
i was just saying i like puffers and rays, just saying im glad the 3 will work since there on my top list....not getting a ray or puffer right now, to expensive atm in my area...
Planning on the knife, gar, bichir...
What kind of fish is active that would be safe with theses 3? all levels are covered so its gota be quick...lol
