what is the coiled thing on the bottom of your tank?

edit: NVM co-worker just said heating coil for your soil...Good to see updates as your tank was a HUGE influence on the design on my tank, i.e. rimless, corner supports, external glass overflow, black silicone.

Yes indeed it's a heating cable ... I've never used it before, I thought I would give it a shot despite very different reviews that I've read about it.

ps. I like your tank a lot, how did you manage to cut the glass like that for the over flow ?! + what do you plan on keeping in your 150gal ?

Per his previous post...... "if you're talking about that have-circle in the glass it's going to be an overflow ... I had that drilled, we'll see how it will work"
