I was thinking about tryiong something with the trimac?

so the tank idea i have in mind is

120
Managunse or trimac(if i can find one)
some kind of cat(any suggestions)
and maybe a Jack Dempsey
maybe a GT
A wolf fish(not sure which to do common or red hi fin)
my pleco
and a senegal bichir(not to sure)


Any suggestions

I wanted a community type tank set up with my 120g (5ft). The main attraction is a male Midas who happens to be very easy going with his tankmates so its been pretty easy so far. Then I have a school of 5 red hook silver dollars which add a lot of movement in the tank. Then my last fish is a sailfin pleco (a smaller type, will get about 12" max).

This is just the right mix for me. The only aggressive fish is my Midas who only is a jerk during water changes. He does not even cause issues at feeding time. I really wanted a nice community tank with larger fish and this combo has worked out very well for me.

So you did the 7 fish so the only super aggressive fish was the Midas right

I am looking to stock my 120 gallon and i am looking for ideas....

The only things i dont want to do is
Piranhas
Tropical(like guppies platys etc)
and solitary fish


Everything else is free game

Huh? U must mean coldwater fish only then as tropical covers ALOT of fish, more than just guppies!

Bichirs... Not solitary at all.

A decent bichir pile is incomparable to anything else in the hobby in my opinion.

I meant the basic category of tropical fish as in no guppies platies and swordtails

not all tropical fish haha

Ah, thank god coz it would be hard then!

If your tanks big enough, red tinfoil barbs are awesome little pigs!
