  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That sucks so bad that it cracked. It was a beautiful tank. Perhaps you need thicker glass.

who is liable for this yourself or can the shop that you brough it off come and replace it without any additional cost? who did you get to build it also im looking at getting one build myself? were they any good?

update

Its being re-built on the 16th march... Im not having to pay for it. I beleive it could be the stand therefore a complete rebuild of the stand is underway. Im going to support it in more places.

Nd aquatics are the people completeing the task. Ive so missed viewing my rays in a new way roll on fill date 30th march! I have also aquired another pair of mature marbles to add to my collection..And i have had a pair of pups born

Sorry to read about the break but on the plus side, your not out of pocket.

Wow,sorry to hear of the break nick and glad your getting it sorted and congrats on the new rays and pups.

Oddly enough I looked at the first pics and thought...surely that will crack.

The polystyrene doesn't look like it went right to the edges /ends of the tank, maybe I am seeing it wrong? The pressure of the water makes the tank bow up slightly in the middle meaning that most of the pressure is on the two far ends, these need the polystyrene more than anything, in fact you can normally take out the polystyrene in the middle.

Sorry the hear about the tank, I am sure things will go better with your new tank.
I am going to have a 12'x5'x34" tank built in June this year after I move into my new house in April.
I wanted to know how long the tank took to build?
I am going to have mine built on site and I am trying to estimate an amount as they charge $250 an hour to build on site.
I am going to go with 15mm glass all around with bracing on the top and bottom of the tank.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.
