Hi i just got my new tank which is 4x2x2 (the biggest i can fit in my house)

I have a tank with Severum grow outs and 2 blood parrots, eb acara and rainbow fish.

How many Severums can i keep in it?

Also can i keep a Gibbiceps plec in a tank this size?

I want my stock to be like this...

Multiple Severums
2 x Blood Parrot
1 x EB Acara
8 x Boesmani Rainbow fish

then maybe a gibbiceps and some silver dollars?

Can't edit my post but the grow outs i have are 1 x male rotkeil that is about 7", male red spot about 4", gold female 3", green female 4", notatus female 2"

your overstocked, badly, in time you are going to have bio load issues and probably aggression in a 4 ft tank...you can keep 1 or 2 of those sevs long term imo.. that's with some luck...

I dont think thats overstocked badly bioload wise but there may be issues with territoriality/breeding aggression in that tank.

Its possible the sevs develop a heirarchy and more or less form a community. It would be better in a longer tank though.

I wouldnt bother adding one EBA to that mix, or the gibbiceps. Here is a gibbiceps thats pushing 16-17".

A fish like that would definitely strain your bioload.

Some dithers could work for you and boesmani rainbows are a good choice.

Good luck with your tank and fish!

Thats is way overstocked! And I like overstocked tanks. 7 8"+ fish and 9 5" fish along with a pleco of undetermined size and to top it all off some silver dollars. No way.
(I'm talking grown adults)
Maybe in a 220 not a 120.

Wait i don't know if any of you can read but i said i have 6 severums growing out in a diff tank (from a batch i got off some guy online), how many can i keep together full term.

I never had a plan to keep all 6 severums, i'm definitely keeping 2 but i was wondering if anybody would say 3

which is 5-6 cichlids in total with my other fish and rainbow fish, not really crazy overstocked on the bioload at all.

I'm not fussed about the dollars, but i do want a large plec.

I was looking at

2-3 Severums
1 x blue acara
2 x blood parrots
8 x rainbow fish
1 x plec

Yeah but my tank is double the width of that, that gibbi should not be in that thin tank.

Yeah i can read just fine chief. Your first post says "multiple severums". Your subsequent post said nothing about only keeping some of them.
