I got my top figured out now I need my lights.
I was thinking a t5 shop light but I really don't like the look and I don't feel like building a canopy. For right now I will be doing half the tank and then moving on.
I also have a piece of drift wood that won't sink. I might just 86 that thought till it sinks or I find another cool piece.

i just have a side question- are xp3's any good? i mean i couldnt afford the fx5 when i got my tank at first, so the lfs told me the xp3 was the next best thing, is this true?

Get the XP4 if you go that direction, it's the biggest XP filter.

i ran an xp3 before i switched to the ebay sun sun. the xp3 ran like a champ and i had no problems with it at all. i switched to get the UV in the canister instead of a separate piece to plumb inline.

I have all my plants in, lights hooked up, fish in, and some driftwood. I have been productive. I'll take some pics tomorrow.

Current Stock:

1- delhezi bichir (Polypterus delhezi)
2- senegal bichir (Polypterus senegalus senegalus)

I really think everything is coming together. I like the plants a lot.

I added a salavani which had ick. I have never had to deal with ick. I guess if there was a first time it would be in my big tank.
