ok well i got a shark for the 125. i think its a marbled cat shark...? maybe someone can give me a better id.
also new in habitants are niger trigger, some kind of dwarf angel and my favorite a majestic angel :) :headbang2
next im getting a saddleback butterfly and a harl tusk.... i gotta find a small one tho.
well my email is being stupid so i will have to post pics of the full tank later but here is the angel and the shark

both the shark and the angel ate the night i brought them home and now the shark gets rods predator mix every night and the angel and the other fish get angel and butterfly frozen food, rods reef food and mysis 2 times a day.
i hear that sponge is reallt good for big angels. how do i get this into his diet? i believe the a/b frozen food has some but i want him to be spoiled lol

Looks like an Indo Bamboo. Might be hard getting it to eat.
Any problems with the angel/trigger yet?
The tusk you're planning for might pick at it as well.

he eats like a monster. since the night i brought him home :)
no issues yet. the trigger is pretty mellow. he has scuffles with the small angel every once in a while but thats about it.
hopefully the tusk wont be an issue. i keep them well fed so i think it helps keep them calm

lol. he has a little bit of the bat shape on him doesnt he

Very nice shark glad he's eating good for you... Definitly keep an eye on the Trigger though

yea. he doesnt put up with anyone messing with him. he already latched on to the trigger for tryin to steal his food. at the lfs he attacked another shark for food. he is a little demon. i love him. he isnt shy at all either. he is usually out and if i mess around in the tank he is right there checking every rock i move for some left over food.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but.....

1. This tank is too small for all that bioload. I would not add any more fish to the tank for sure.
2. The tank is also too small for the shark, and will be too small for the majestic angel and maybe others in time.
3. The shark shouldn't be getting fed every day, really only needs to be fed once every three days. Otherwise you are going to cause water quality problems and have a very very fast growing shark.
4. The trigger, majestic, dwarf angel, and planned tusk and butterfly are all risks to pick on your shark. It isn't so much that he can defend himself or hold his own...it is that he is sedentary and those fish pick at surfaces for food. His slime coat is nutritious. They all are also known for picking at the eyes of sharks!!!! I actually had this happen to me in the brief time I had an angel with a bamboo shark(in a 210 no less).

To get sponge to your angels look at Hikari and Ocean Nutrtition angel formulas. Also, get all these fish(except the shark proly) onto New Life Spectrum Pellets pronto. It is the best food money can buy. Incorporate a good vitamin supplement as well like Selcon.

shark is a chiloscyllium plagiosum or whitespotted bamboo , grow to aprox 1 meter you will need a larger tank, i would get rid of the trigger it will annoy and stress the shark, what length is the shark, its age will determine how much you feed it,are you buffering the water? you ph will sink fast in a small tank with a heavy bioload, what is your filtration method ? do you have protien skimmer ? what is rods predator mix the shark should be eating octopus, prawns, whitebait, fresh fish from fish monger, along with vitamin suppletation

Sorry scales...I know that you probably have long term care in mind, but for the time being I have to +1 this...
