125G > 240G South American Cichlid Tank (Severum / Geos)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice identification pictures, 8 clearly marked bars. The best part to me, is that the first individual shows the gill bar and the second doesn't show it as clearly. Likely due to angles and stuff, but it helps newer people learning to identify them.

I was just about to say how good those photos are for id purposes. Those are clearly the genuine article and the ones I have look quite different.

Put the 2x Rotkeil directly into my main tank as the breeder said the whole tub of them looked very healthy. Already out and about and eating voraciously.

Wanted to post one more for the night... just got these in today from Jeff. 6x Satanoperca Leucocista F1 eartheaters about 1.5 inches each. Already gorgeous with lots of bright spots!

Hah! Been a bit busy but here's one of the tank. I removed most of the plants and left a few token pieces of green in there. Keep in mind that this is a grow out tank for the most part. Once the geos and sevs get to ~4 inches they'll get an upgrade into their 125G. Right now the Denison barbs are still the largest specimens in there (at around 3-4 inches). I'm sure the barbs will appreciate the upgrade too :)

Moved my golden nugget into his new home which is this tank. He's a good looking fella. Felt bad stressing the guy out trying to catch him. Now it'll be another month or two before he starts to venture out again hah. He's lost a bit of the dark coloring due to the stress.
