Well, I don't have any new pictures...I think you guys have seen it all already. My sunfish just went through another growth spurt and are about 3.5" long and seem to have their adult coloration. They're not semi-transparent anymore and are getting thick. I'll have to be careful not to go look at them on an empty stomach
The left door on the canopy seems to be getting progressively more warped and I'm not sure what to do about it. The whole thing is made of cedar and is glued and screwed together. The back is open for ventilation, I have glass tops on the main tank that are very well fitting, and I coated the whole canopy in polycrylic after assembly. Basically the whole thing is twisting so the left edge doesn't rest on the tank top. I just measured it and when the right edge is all the way down, the left edge is floating 9/16" higher. I put some weather stripping in there to block the light, but it's getting pretty bad. Any ideas?
No, the braces are attached with structural screws so they should hold some tension. More importantly, I installed them in opposite directions on opposite ends of the stand. Plus I glued the skins on the front and sides so it is very rigid.
