Thanks! Me too! Me too as in I like him and I hope he is sociable. I was hoping i would find a creamsicle midas or devil on a rare chance, and they had two. The other wasn't as pretty and it was a bit bigger. I didn't want to chance the size and why not get the better looking one? I hope his color stays, in fact I hope as he grows the white area will expand and he will have more of a balance of white and orange. Is this something I can expect? Does it usually stick?
I figured I would post some updated sub par pics of the growing kids and the newbs I added this month. Here's the current stocklist of the 125; 1 texas, 1 midas, 1 GT, 1 com. pleco, 1 bicher, 4 salvini, 5 giant danio. Far as I know they are all males, unsure of the GT and midas yet as they are juvies. So far the tank is at peace. I hope it stays that way.
My texas
My big alpha salvini. He pretty much runs the tank right now.
My new midas.
My new GT. Kind of skinny from underfeeding at LFS.
GT a week later fattened up already.
Any guesses at Gender? Guessing and hoping male.
Here is a couple quick snap shots I took this morning of the red devil "Hotlips" I kept. Unfortunately my red devils were not very sociable. Surprise right? Hotlips is currently in a 55 by himself and is about 7". I tried putting a couple 3-4" convicts in with him the other day for him to play with. Playing with them is exactly what he did. And by play, it was more like decimation. I got them out in time and they are recovering well. I'm looking for a 75 or 90 for Hotlips in the next couple months.
No... Unfortunately they died. I had two of them and I took them out of the tank cause they were getting beat on and put them in another more peaceful aquarium and one day I woke up and one was dead, then the other one was dead later that week.
Been awhile since I have updated this thread on my fish's progress. I don't believe I have changed much since I posted last except added another green terror. So the big midas that is in the tank is the same little midas that is picture above in the thread. Here's a little video I made this last week of how the aquarium looks now. Enjoy and let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
