Thank you. That band was not like that when I brought him home. He developed a bit of a hump overnight one day and the band in his tail seems to get better every week.

The pictures don't show it but that band is actually comprised of 3 slimmer bands that go from reddish, to orange, to yellow. It's quite stunning.

All of my photos are with my phone, so keep that in mind.

My father in-law is here right now. He's got a ridiculous camera and is a retired photographer (they never really retire). I'll see if I can convince him to shoot my fish.

That would be awesome if he was up for taking some pictures.

I'm so jealous of the high quality photos I see on here. Lol I just use my cell phone too. I rarely ever use a real computer so it's just easier to keep everything on cells/tablets for me.

I know. That AquaMojo guy takes amazing photos, so do many others but AquaMojo sticks out in mind because he explained in one thread how he did it and I was just like wow!

He is looking stunning, I can only imagine how good he will look as an adult good job

Mo' aquariums, mo' problems...

So the two GT's I have in QT in order to get them healthy and fatten them up? Well, today they were engaged in extended lip locking battles and lots of shimmying.

I'm 95% sure this is a male & female fish, so this behaviour seems indicative of courtship, which is not what I had planned from these two.

I presume a divider won't help as they'll just spawn on either side of it? Or will breaking up the courtship put some cold water on this behaviour?

How big are they again? You could give the divider a try. I could be wrong, but aren't they too young to spawn. The divider would give them both a break I would think so they can focus on eating and growing.

Just divide them bro don't let them have Any access to each other so male can fertilize the eggs if breeding is the case

So even though I have a divider in place, I apparently didn't get it in soon enough. During WC today I noticed that the females tail fin is pretty tattered.

Hoping it will heal up ok. I'll keep an eye on it and keep the water clean. Anything I should look out for in terms of bacterial infection?

Should I just get some Meds for that as well?

I'm hoping the General Cure has beaten the parasites. I'm still soaking their food in an Epsom salt solution. I figure I'll start trying to fatten them up and see what happens.
