Not really. There is some chasing, but the big guy doesn't chase him much more than he chases the females.

Still, the potential for a problem is there. Once I pull him to treat him he won't be going back into this tank. I will either sell him on a local forum or try to trade him in for store credit.
So enjoying this thread, learning from it and loving the GTs. Way to work through everything so far. Thanks for sharing!

I'm really pleased how the black intake just disappears into the black ground.

I may make some outlets as well. Thinking of doing 1 spray bar and two nozzles. I'm going to put all of the intanks at one end of the tank and all of the outlets at the other to try and create the flow of a river.

I already have my lights coming on from east to west (technically north to south), so why not take it step further.

if you are still looking for hoplos, I believe trinsfish.com keeps them in stock with regularity. Might be worth a look. I've ordered from them several times with 100% success. I've got a coupon that will save you a little if you decide to go with them.

Thanks for the heads up tyguy. Looks like trinsfish doesn't ship to me (I'm in Vancouver Canada).

No worries! Glad you're looking out for me. If I can find them I do intend to get a hoplo.

I've got 2 in my 75. Pretty neat fish. They aren't as shy as some cats and i see them with regularity. Also ridiculously peaceful. Basically an overgrown cory cat. I even kept them with kuhli loaches for a time and I think the kuhlis could have swam in their mouth and back out.

I've read that they can be semi aggressive with one another. I have heard it's good to keep 1, or a small group to avoid having 1 fish get picked on. Has that been your experience?
