14 year old Midas Cichlid Not Eating

Ok, I’m starting to believe my fish is a female. Breeding tube is out—-and yes definitely a female. Could she be egg bound and the eggs trapped inside her?
I ask that because I noticed just today that she is gasping for air and her belly seems really big despite not eating for 6 days!

I added epsom salt—-about 12 1/2 teaspoons for a 125 gallon tank


HELP!!!!

I also added some extra aeration to help her breathe better

Sadly, my Midas has died. She just declined and declined until a couple of days ago I found her dead lying on the driftwood. I’m pretty sure it was old age....

14 years is pretty much a full life for a Midas.

It’s hard to loose a prized fish, take solace in the fact that you gave it a good long life.
