  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How do I know if my floor can support thw weight of the tank. Won't be in my basement will be on the 1st floor. Was at legs and guy told story about tank falling through the floor

150 gallons =1500 lbs...if the structure is sound it should hold,,,especially if you can use a load bearing wall as support

house is fairly new less than 10 yrs old. hope I don't end up with an elevator shaft in my living room lol

There is an article on here 2260-2 vs fx5, it's like 30 pages and the 2262 kicks fx5s ass.

Place the tank on as many beams in floor as possible if your basement is not finished support the fooor with 4x4s vertical

Gonna look for that article now thanks

if you can put the tank against a load bearing wall close to a corner of the room (where you know it will have extra support from bracing)you shouldn't have any problems, after all 1500 lbs. sounds like a lot , but it's only 10 SMALL adults

Lmaoooo my wife said the same thing...actually it was more like...." dummy when the family is over we never fell through the floor"
