Sump is going to be a 30 gal. Would have liked to use 55 but the concensus is it probably would fit.

Pump (dct12000) over flow (eshopps pf1800) and some other stuff arrived. Going to try a diy sock holder out of eggrate amd spare pvc.

Just need to pick up the plumbing and order the filter socks. Drains are going to be 1.5 in x2 and the return 1 inch. Think im gonna start out with 100 micron for socks

My other dct came with multiple sized adapters but the dct12000 has one adapter that needs to but cut to size.

Red_Man Red_Man thx for suggesting the thread x thread to thread x barbed solution. Home depot/lowes are real hit or miss with fittings so i'll have to tinker.
Was thinking i could get thread x slip and reduce down to 1 inch. Then a union for easy dosconnect. I'm just gonna see what they have.

Gonna make a lid for the sump with plexiglass and a pvc pipe as a handle.

The return is just gonna be pvc (90° elbows)

Sounds like a plan. The threadxbarb is exactly what I did with my return as well.

The Stand pipes for the overflow box are glued into the bulkeads...that so stupid. Wtf

Yup start picking up your plumbing parts list now so you'll have most of what you think you need now.

I don't glue my standpipe. I had to remove my dry standpipe and did it push down far enough to the bulkhead. Typically it's not issue but I also had a very slow thread leak (which I didn't get around to correcting). My sump area got wet about a quart of water before I saw it. I guess it was good that it happened so that now ill fix before I really need to back-up pipe.

Dont forget a good gate valve, usually harder to find when you need one.

I didnt intend to glue it but the bulkheads that came with the hob over were already glued...sucks because i wanted to modify them. Guess i still could but sent them an email anyway.

Got all the plumbing...see if i could do this with 1 trip instead of 4

Does the leakess with the level in the over flow ?

Jaws777, you can probably add unions to the bottom of the pipes that are coming out of the bottom of the out flow box, for easy disconnect if the pipes coming out are standard PVC. And modify from there.
If its any comfort, I always end up at Home Depot (or whatever?) 3 or 4 times every time I do a project, there always seems to be some kind of snafu you just can't for see.

ThX duanes def gonna put a union some where near the bulkhead. The problem is the pvc standpipe that inside the box is glued. A few other members gave me some good suggestions on how to quiet them down (cutting it in a 45°) will a pain to do on this.

Im thinking i could cut this down add a coupling and a small section of pipe then make the 45° cut.
