150 Mbuna?

P. cyaneorhabdos will be fine with yellow labs etc, especially in a tank that size. I kept them together for years in a much smaller footprint without any major issues.

I agree with the species profile of mildly aggressive.

I have had a different experience with them, albeit in a pretty small tank. It may be just fine in a 150, just said I personally would choose a different species. :)

I personally would avoid the maingano. My experience with melanochromis types has been that they are not great at playing nice with the more peaceful mbuna.

RD gave good advice. Do research here and elsewhere on the internet. 40ish mbuna seems reasonable to me for a 150. Synodontis petricola are awesome cats, I had one for years and years with Africans.

Once or twice a week water changes should be fine. I wouldn't stock the tank so heavily that it's necessary every two days (think- what would happen if you go on holiday for a week)

I really dont like the Synodontis petricola...

so are you saying that you think in the 150 the 3 species of Mbuna (15 each) would work MOST LIKELY?

also i want a shovelnose catfish but it has to bee one that can live in this tank with Mbuna.
