im more into Big Aggressive cichlids more then angels, acaras I and rams
Unfortunately 150 gal. isn't THAT much real estate for an aggressive community. I speak from experience - I used to have the exact same tank set up. Had two Oscars, a JD and a pair of Cons. It was in pretty much constant chaos. My advice would be to pick one dream cichlid & add a few dithers to add some action in the tank. A large cichlid will take over the entire 150 gal. as its territory as an adult, so while a nice community may work as juveniles, as adults it could come down to an all out war.

I’m moving the jd to my 90 gallon and selling my 55 gallon and my ph is 6.8 to around 7
You PH seems to be good for SA, little high but doable I think.
Could go the angelfish community route.
Discus if you like a challenge

Unfortunately "big aggressive cichlids" and "community tank" are a bit of an oxymoron, especially in a 72x18 tank. The problem is that any large cichlid is going to claim most of that tank as their personal territory and the dominant one will eventually kill off the rest, or at the least leave the others constantly in hiding and stressed which does not make for a very interesting tank.

If you want several species of cichlids, you could try a community with different types of heros, geophagus, hyselacara, aequidens, bujurquina, mesonauta, krobia...lots of community friendly SA species out there that wont outgrow your tank.

I would rule out Central American cichlids in the long run. Many require much higher PH and harder water. What's the total dissolved solid readings from your tap water per water quality report?

There are some pike cichlids from the saxatilis family that would do fine in a 150g with other tank makes. The 18" width does make it more limiting to house anything beyond 12" total length. Nothing beyond 10" would be better.

I was thinking of buying any of the fish I get as juveniles and putting them in the tank at the same time. I am also kinda interested in a flag tail Prochilodus, any idea for tank mates if I get one?

Flag tails get as big as oscars, and at 14" is a bit big for a 18" wide tank.
