150 stocking

Agree on both counts above. You seem to be looking at fish suited for tanks in 200-300+ gallon range.
really? From what I’ve heard and from at the requirements of the fish most of the fish named above are able to go in a 150. From what I’ve heard the minimum for a jag is a 125 and it’s the same for a Flagtail.

It can be done but once they are full grown it will not be a good setup. Flagtails get massive, as do jags--both over 18" if taken care of properly. Most successful keepers of these fish seem to keep them in at least 220g or larger tanks.

Ok
Any suggestions for a breeding pair of some cichlid? And when they have babies what should I do with them? I may be able to drop them off at a store but they would eventually get over whelmed with the babies.

Don't try to get a breeding pair. There's no point in trying to establish a breeding pair and have no plan on how to continually deal with fry produced.

If the Cichlid is common in your area then it could be difficult to sale or even give them away.

I would say anything of the amphilophus complex would be the largest, most aggressive cichlid type for that tank. Dither fish usually dont last long with big amphs but I'd say giant danios are probably the hardiest dither there is for big cichlids.

I would just stick to cichlids that reach around 12" length and under for that tank. There are a lot of options. Some more community friendly than others.

You could a group of 8 geophagus surinamensis/altifrons/tapajos, superb fish and peaceful?.

There are 2 ways to go in a 150 gallon.

As people have said, you can a group of peaceful cichlids- angelfish, discus or geophagus

Or 1 less than 10" aggressive cichlid with giant danio. Oscars or green Texas or green terrors?
