1500 Gallon Monster Pond

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hey, this is like what Im trying to do.

There used to be a huge compost pile back in my backyard before we moved here and I was cleaning out all the weeds and leaves and started to dig and I ran into a concrete slab about a foot under it all:irked:

I was wanting to do a waterfall as well. I wasnt sure on my filtration yet, all I know is I wanted to start digging! lol.

I will def keep up with this one, well try atleast. Good Luck:)

Yey, I get the ole tiller going and forget what time it is sometimes. I really got it alot deeper now. I'll shoot some good pics in the morning and post asap. It is 11:40 pm right now and my cam want be back untill 1 am. I've worked all day and I'm off to bed. I will also do lights around this monster. Hang in there with me, it is going to be good.

Sounds like its going to be a Great place for your fin buddies to play in. Mine started out a few hundred gallons and ended up being 7,000 gals and 42 feet long. The work is worth it. If you wan,t to save money insted of using bio balls ect in your filter you can use those little plastic cowboys and army men works great and non toxic. And way cheaper.

Is there a link for step-by-step instructions on how to build one for a 5k gallon pond? Would the little dinosaurs work as well? I can get those for free but not army men.
