Looking good!

Seeing the pic of your daughter in the pond really give you a perspective on how large it is, but it also freaked me out a little...especially since you have those steps leading up to the pond. Please make sure your daughter knows to be careful around the pond; it's probably a good idea to get a lid for it as well. Drowning is the leading cause of death among children 1 -5 years old, so don't take it lightly. What you have there is as serious as a pool.

I hope you don't take my comment the wrong way...I'm not trying to be a Debbie downer, just looking out for a fellow MFKer and his fam. I was a lifeguard for 6 years and know that all it takes is a few moments.

I really apreciate the concern, it is something that we have discussed a lot before. they are not alowed down here without supervision. the gate gets locked at the top of the stairs. they also have both had there swimming lessons and are enrolled this year as well. i dont want my kids to drown over my hobbie i really would like to enjoy all the fish and children for several years! as for a worry wart, my sister has you beat by three times over so absolutly no concern over the comment.

thanks buddy,

hey all, i just wanted to post that it has been a little bit now and the kids understand not to play in on or around it as well as i have had a ton of visitors who just dont believe it. but all in great fun. i have had a lot of questioning about humidity controle. well i have a dehumidifier dwn here as well as a windsow fan that seemed to be doing the trick. here is a shot of the moniter it sais its safe but i figure you all would know if it really is best or if i need ferther attention. oh and i tested it in the bathroom durring the youngsters bath to see if it was working or not, hence the 65"% markIMG_20131017_200544.jpg

cool so as long as it seems to stay in the mid to low fiftys i should be ok? id rather run another dehumidifier and pay electric then redo all the sheetrock in a few years
