It happened.......but it was my fault. Just like any other thing in the world prep work is KEY. I starting cleaning the vinyl on the left side and worked my way to the right. The right is where the silicone detached after so long. Nothing but my fault.
I topped off the tank one night. Woke up the next morning and the carpet was wet and the tank was dripping water on the floor, about 1/2gallon per hr.

You can see where the bond held and where the bond failed

The left side of the tank where I did the best prep. Silicone was nice and strong and had to give it a good tug, silicone tore and kept strong to the vinyl.

Only myself to blame, another reason NOT to rush and always triple clean. Would I use this setup again? 110% I would. The vinyl showed NO abuse, no deterioration , no nicks no nothing. Maybe PL's poly roof and flashing sealant would be my better of a choice bond is super strong I used it on the current tank they are now in. Dont be afraid of the vinyl just prep it good just like any other DIY tank. User error.
This is where they are now, emergency build. 7'x2'x18" in a detached garage hence the "green house"
