1600 Gallon Bioshock Octopus Aquarium!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
So while I work on the fiberglassing, i've been considering the type of filtration to use.. I'm thinking a wet/dry refugium system and definitely don't want to pay for an acrylic one so I think I'm going to do a rubbermaid DIY design. Have others had success doing it this way?

...How are you planning on accessing the inside of the tank for maintenance, decorating and livestock with the tank being so tall?...
By way of a trap door in ceiling of basement, floor above, of course!

Awesome tank idea! I love when someone pushes the boundaries like this.

Haha there is enough space above the tank to slide into it if I need to. Thanks for the support! Go big or go home right? Haha I don't mind taking risks it's worked this far *knock on wood* lol

Looks great
