I had a 9" Gulf Saratoga(Jardini..) in with 2x 18-20" silvers and a 10" black.. In a 250g, he started out fine, but as he acclimated, his timidness wore off, and his real colours shone through. Woke up one morning to find the smaller silver floating on his side, his whole underside torn up, bites to the face & tail it appeared. The other silver only had minor fin tears, and the black was cowering in my small cave of rocks all night.
Your best bet is when 'research has said the Jardini's are pretty brutal' you listen. Most, if not all MFK Arowana entheusiasts will agree that you should keep it with only fish that are substantially larger(which even then didn't work to an extent..) or to keep them alone.
