Awesome. Do I see goldfish in there?

One big one- I found it's the easiest way to keep the duckweed under control.

wow that is amazing an amazing tank i wish i had one of those how much did it cost you

For comparisons it cost about as much as a new car to set-up and about $200 a month for electric and water to run.

Please don't insult this gentleman with questions like that...Be thankful he is willing to share the images...
If he wanted to say, he would have by now...
It's obvious to me, it is priceless, due to the fact it sounds like the people involved were as passionate with the project as the owner...
We all know the value of Passion, it has no price...

I'm am in awe of your undertaking. A project of this magnitude must have had one hell of a set of plans...

And to think the reef you took down to do this display was a masterpiece in it's own right!

You posted previously that you built the house. Was the reef a consideration when you planned the house originally or did you add it on after the house was built?...

You must be in the construction business? there are a ton of custom features you mentioned, and the rock work around the tank, the large timber cabinets...all looks custom built to me...great looking house as well as an awesome display...

One more question please...
In your opinion, which display takes more time to feed and groom?
the MN masterpiece reef
or the MN riverine rain forest?

Outstanding Bro, Absolutely Outstanding!!

First-Thank you very much for the compliments. I actually don't mind when people ask how much it costs because I hope if I describe it -then maybe others will do the same!

The addition onto the house was centered and motivated by the tank. I did the addition to make enough room for the tank.

Both the river biotope and the reef take about the same time- but the river costs a lot less to run and is as equally interesting.

oh my god...thats amazing!!!

y dont u add some sort of turtle? like a razorback musk or something?

STUNNING TANK

The only turtle that would be Ok is a fly river turtle and it just gets to big and needs more space than even I have(in my opinion).

WOW. simply amazing. I remember seeing pics of the reef setup, which was absolutely amazing as well. Can't believe the transformation!

Just curious, do you have any idea how much this impacts your electricity bill?

beautiful house, by the way!

Electric bill is about 1/3 now!

amazing setup , it must make the rays feel like they are in the wild .. are they wild rays or captive born ?

I think both were captive born.

i know theres a lot of very nice set ups on this site. this one here, in my opinion is def the most interesting. its just like you cut out a piece of nature and brought it right to your living room. great job!
