18' x 9' x 3.5' catfish tank build in progress.....

someone had mentioned putting several cons in there and let them breed so the cats would have constant feeders but im not sure if that idea went anywhere.
There will be fish in there besides catfish, but it's up to the catfish how long they live in there. The tank will be cycled with my pack of oscar rescues. So far there will be 4 oscars, and a jag cichlid in with the catfish. Might try to get a dovii. Was thinking about a ray if someone wanted to donate one, but otherwise there's nothing else that I know of so far. Catfish are my thang!
The cichlids will add a special look to the tank much congrats.
I'm with you man. I figure a few cichlids will just add some top movement(not that I'll need it with the Pangasius cats I have). I'm trying to get some pics downloaded from last week, but my camera battery acts like it doesn't want to charge. Just my luck!

And yes, I know there's live feeders in with him. He's my last monster that I need to ween off live. I just spent about a month and a half weening my jur. Now it's his turn. I've tried before, but after 2 months of him not eating and becoming emaciated I caved and got some goldies! Now that I have him fattened up again it's time to try again, but this time I cannot cave. If he's to be in with the big boys he can't have live.
I'm determined, but this is kind of a fish of a lifetime for me and I cannot just let it die because it refuses to eat something besides live. lol. I have a few more tricks up my sleeve with this one.
Oh, and plans for this weekend are to try and get some more ply done, but I need a hole saw for the plumbing. I'm rethinking filtration a bit also. I'll let you guys and gals know what I come up with.
