i am really eye balling this 180 gallon for $400....i have a tsn(16") silver arowana(15") florida gar(14") rtc(15")

the question is.....could i add anything else? or is it too over stocked?

oh btw when the tsn and rtc get to big i will give them away....

Well it will be stocked pretty full. I wouldn't add anything large, just SMALL dithers. Once the TSN and RTC are gone then you will have some more room, but eventually will need to go bigger. Is the tank $400 for just the tank, or is there other stuff with it??

Call me conservative, but the 180 (6ft?)would be less than 5-times longer and only slightly deeper (2ft?) than the biggest fish. The 180 would be an upgrade from your current tank?!?!?!?!
I'd shell some more out for a bigger tank ... go /\/\onster!

Maybe you should have thought about that before you went out and bought 5 fish that will get 3ft. long............:screwy:

Exactly........................

This is why research is always a good idea. A 180 will not be big enough for the aro,RTC or TSN.

I suggest you trade them in for credit at the LFS and get some differnet fish

Oh I missed the Florida Gar, geeze, You must have been smoking some good stuff when you bought all them monsters!!!

Howdy again,

seems like the bottom line is: Even if the tank is a great deal (depends on what else is included in the $400), it really isn't suitable for your fish. Better than the 75 gal they live in right now  but still not suitable.

Since money is a limiting factor, you should consider downsizing a bit, try to find good (big) homes for the fish. Get the 180, it's a great first step towards a tank for /\/\onsters, but not for the Uber-Monsters you are keeping right now... Sometimes it is better to make one step back. Some day you will not depend on your dad's money anymore, and then you can get a big tank for big fish  That's something to look forward to and to work hard for!

Good luck,
HarleyK
