180G for silver arowana?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
IMO no a 6 foot long 2 foot wide tank is going to be way too small for a 30" plus silver arowana.

Lots of people do it though:(

will a silver/black aro still be able to grow full size in a 180? or will they get stunted?

so you guys think at least 2.5 feet for the width. right? would that be like a 220?

thats fine for the width, you need to have a length at least 3 times that of the aros length.

for a silver aro you will new at least a 2 foot wide tank or else he will not be able to turn around. never had an aro but have run into that problem with a clown knife.

Ive seen very healthy arowanas in 180 gallon tanks. Just keep the tank and water clean and feed a healthy diet.

a 180 would be enough for a jar and possibly a black (no experience with those) so maybe you should just invest in those. unless oyu already have the silver, in that case you can invest in due time
