180G for silver arowana?

i was thinking about the Jar or african but i much prefer the looks of a silver or black. I would even take the Asian arowana but apparently they cost a fortune and are hard to find. anyone know anything about the black aro?

Asian aros are illegal in the states.

What would you like to know about black aros?

a black would still outgrow that tank eventually but they do tend to grow slower so you would have a bit more time to upgrade. They also cost quite a bit more, in my area they cost 5-8 times as much as a silver.

aidenB has answered some of my question already but I was wondering what the minimum tank size is to keep it healthy for life. I understand the arguement about the silver...same apply to the black in a 180G? thanks.

the sort of new line of marineland deep dimension 36" wide tanks would make awesome aro tanks if you went with either the 5 foot (250g) or 6 foot (300g) versions.
