U can use your bathtub the way i did it was full your tub put the wood in add lots and lots off salt since the wood is from fresh water the salt will kill everyting and after a week rings very well with a hose and presto your done
 
i put driftwood in my dishwasher with no detergent and it killed all the bacteria it had growing previously......

and you are worried about me killing my fish :screwy:, there still might have been left over detergent from the last time you used it.

Hmm that might be an issue if i didnt rinse the driftwood properly after the cycle and let it dry. I havent lost a fish sooooo ?

Now lets talk about how you keep fish alive...

to say you have never lost a fish is quite a statement it also says you havnt been in the hobby very long, but enough of this sorry OP for stealing you thread lets get back on track ;)

Not to judge anyone but did he really kill that many fish? please tell me it was the same tank at the same time

the longnose, channel cat, pacu, and oscar were all in the same tank, during the same time.

Poor fishies! My GF just lost a bubbly eyed goldfish to being beaten to death by the rainbow koi we got a month ago. The damn koi ate all the scales off of the goldfish then the tail. We named the koi "punk-ass" lulz.

You want to use 1''-1 1/2'' PVC coming out of the tank. If it were me, I'd want a sump of at least 30 gallons. If you want cheap media then go with Scrubbies which are 8 for a dollar at most Dollar Stores.
