Who? The cichlids?
Tetra Cichlid Flakes daily -once some times twice.
Hikari Cichlid Gold, Med & Large-one serving daily.
Bloodworns & Krill, twice a week usualy mon&fri.
Raw Shrimp-Once a week saturday.
And Sunday I make an Omni and a Vegi feed that they get, sunday and wensday if I make extra.

LOL
Sounds like alot but really not as bad as it sounds-But they eat at least 2X a day and I make sure they get a balance feed...
Sh*t they eat better then me.

whats your thoughts, mike....Im kinda wondering why you ask? never been asked that fish question.
LOL

had some good color, plus a lot of people do not know about other food choices that are out there. I like to feed some veggies every week, I use NLS as my staple... might wanna look into it... little nicer than flake for these guys as they get bigger... can buy in 5lbs tubs too... I still use flake, for growing guys, but NLS is great... also try some brine shrimp too... fresh is best they hunt them down...

Overall you got the idea, a mix with something good as a staple, with mbuna I watch the protiens...

Can I ask why? with the mbuna? whats with the protiens?
what dose NLS stand for I would like to find something better then the flakes, Right now Ill feed them the larger flakes, but as they break down- ill use it with the other guys cause the SOT wont get crums...LOL
Really

New Life Spectrum... too much protein sit in their digestive track and breaks down too fast. They normally eat from algea... plant base protein meat based of sorts. This protein causes them to get bloat...

LMAO... So I have fat colorfull fish is that what your saying....LOL

They are little fatties expecaily the two RT males- the one with the orange surf and the yellow surf ( Roal and Bunro)...So I can see what your saying and you know what I knew in the wild they ate algea, and thats why I started them on the seaweed spinage, but I will look into the NLS.

Want the heathy not Fatties,

But you know what i was thinking to with the color...I believe that the Lighting go alot to do with it. I have and have kept fish that show better with better lighting as well as seen ( and I put all i love on this) a blue cichlid turn yellow on me once he went in to the SOT as well as a yellow go white....
I got b4 and after pics but never could figure out why intill I moved alot of the peacocks into the SOT after the move. the colors just go better-expecaily with the ahli's.

See mine in person, cause i havent seen another set that rich in blue-sucks cause the camera dont really show it so well.

But thanks for the advice mike-
good nite
