190 Gallon Custom Red Belly Shoal (Pic Heavy)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ya mine were timid for the first while. Even now they scurry off and hide when I walk up to the tank but once I stand there for a bit they come back out and cruise the front.

A lot of people keep their tanks really bare to avoid them hiding but I find that they act a lot more natural with hiding places. It's also really cool to watch them cruise through all the nooks and crannies in the big driftwood and between the plants.

Vanica

Very spicy tank, very spicy.
How long has it been since you've had them?
They look to be a mature size, and they still have the red on their bellies. win, win

btw, I love the idea of "forcing" them to eat in front of you. I might actually start doing that.

The first few days they wouldn't do it. But once they get hungry enough they will. Just keep an eye on aggression levels so they don't start eating each other lol.

I have had them since mid march. When I got them they were around 2.5-3 inches. Now the bigger ones are over 6"

Well guys... Bad news... I was out of town for 3 days earlier last week. And when I got home I had a tank full of dead piranha. Apparently the power went out while I was gone. And when it came back on It tripped my breaker. Same thing happened to my 135 gallon with my cichlids and I lost 5 4" Red Head Tapajos as well. :(

2 were clinging to life when I got home but it was too late. Tried to revive them in a tub I filled with tank water and put an air stone on full blast but they didn't come back. I don't know if I will get more.
