1st in your tank

I never had good experiences with adding mbuna one at a time to an established tank. Matter of fact the last fish I added to one of our tanks, a champsochromis caeruleus about the size of a finger, was mistaken for a treat by one of our venustus. My first fish is usually a half dozen or so juvies in the basic colors/ group/ genus I want for that tank.

I have kept all the nasties mentioned above and have them now in a tank together, bumblebee, kenyi, auratus and others and they are okay. Thing is I give them the room they need and enough rockwork for all of them to feel at home ... well except for the johanni which is just evil in nature and if I could capture it w/ out tearing down the tank I would let it tan a bit out on the patio.
