1v1 *Hypothetic* Fish Fight BRACKET VOTING and Entering

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I know this thread is probably meant to be fun like Pokémon battles, but honestly it’s in poor taste. It sets a bad image and does nothing good for the hobby.

These are live animals and it could lead to someone actually pairing up said fish to watch them fight and see who “wins”. Fish should not be kept for entertainment value.

This thread is equivalent to comparing dog breeds in a fighting ring.

Yeah, I understand how this can be in poor taste. I did think about that when I first looked at it.
I like to look at it more as a way of comparing the aggression of two fish. It seems like it has potential for good info for people trying to find a specific species and wanting the meanest fish of a certain category.
Some of my favorite books growing up were a series of short “who would win” books, where they took two animals and compared a list of statistics, and how it would play out if the two got in a fight.
I would certainly hate to see anyone actually try to force these fish to fight though.

Yeah puffer for the win. It is more clumsy than the multi, but has a bloodlust that is unmatched and razor sharp teeth. Pound for pound the most aggressive puffer.

i favor Microctenopama ansorgii. Scarlet Badi’s can be aggressive, but I think the Ctenopama will prevail
microctens are aggressive too (moreso than regular ctenopoma) but I'm not sure about their weapons. At least with regular ctenopoma, they have fragile mouths that are only good for sucking and swallowing so they get pushed around by cichlids and even similar size characins. No experience with badis, do they have good teeth?
