see the size of that stingray?!?!?! HOLY S#%&!

Nice, but well the GA tank is what 3.15 times bigger? (6.3 million gallons)

Oh and I actually like how the Chattanooga does there setups better than GA. Though GA's large tank is still the biggest winner so far. (I think TFH just did a nice writeup on it.)

And it likely isn't glass. It should be very very thick acrylic blocks that are melted together. (Large glass pieces wouldn't work at that size, and there really isn't an easy way to bind them together so they could withstand the pressure.)

You thinkin' what I'm thinkin'??? TWO MILLION NEON TETRAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nah! 2,000,000 CARDINAL TETRAS!!!!!! :D

I wonder if that public aquarium in Japan has a sashimi restaurant?

Actually it has the worlds largest acrylic panel which is 8.2 meters high by 22.5 meters long with a thickness of 60 centimeters. The tank itself is 10m deep x 35 m long x 27 m wide. The acrylic panel is over 40 tonnes and is held in place by water pressure.... it just sits there under its own weight. They are trying to breed the whale sharks and have already managed to breed manta rays and do have annual coral spawns.

The manufacture/install of this acrylic sheet is worthy of a documentary in itself!!

yeh read bout the panel id hate to have it scratched but obviouslt they line it with glass. im surprised the japs havnt eaten the whales already lol. btw i think a doco just on the making of the tank is sweet. there was a doco in brisbane on the making of seaworld on the goldy the shark bay tank.
