what big cats do u have then >??

Oh no I don't have big cats, I was just talking about sand in general. My pictus catfish and angelfish make a killa mess of my sand LOL

if your going to put sand in put a hell of a lot of activated carbon in your filter for a week or so and it will go crystal clear or take a lot of water changes, your ray should be ok if you thinkso they are your fish at the end of the day so you know their habits best, just trying to save you getting disappointed, catfish are very unpredictable in my view as my TSN was in the same tank with my Mamoratus for 2 months and then he ate him, i think he was just waiting for him to fatten up LOL

the fact that the disc is larger than the rtc's mouth really has nothing to do with it. You have to think about how flexible the ray is. It'll roll up like a fruit roll up and fit right in that monster cat mouth. It just takes a minute while your asleep and you wont have a ray any longer.
With almost every person in 3 pages telling you its not a good plan, I would put money on it not being a good plan.

Yes they are your fish, we just don't want to see that thread "RTC ate my ray "

My point exactly

its not wise buts its not our fish
he will learn sometime!!! LOL when his ray gets eaten!!!
expensive food too
the ray will not stand a chance in the event of an attack off a RTC they are very strong fish, my RTCXTSN tries eating my arm when im doing maintenance on my tank and my arm is 3 times the size!!! and they are nort as ferocious as a RTC
