2 AC 110 filtering 180 gallon?? HELP

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I plan on using just two AC110's on my 150g but I'll only have a Dovii in there. Once he gets bigger I'll also add a canister filter.

they are all in a 60gallon right now. no fighting between the aros, but my jar and pbass are nipping each other. besides that its been good for 3 months now.

you need to add a fluval fx5 to that. or an ehiem. get a big canister. canisters hold way more media than the ac110s. right now on my 90gallon i have an ac110 and a fluval 405 with an ac70 power head for added circulation. right now its stocked with 4 piranhas about 8 inches and thats a little more than adequate filtration. with the stock list you mentioned you need to have about 8x turn over. so i'd either an fluval fx5 or a rena filstar xp4.

What size tank will you move them to when there done with this grow out tank.

tank size is 6x2x2

take a look at the rena XP4
i have one and love it
although people who have FX5s will say the same thing im sure

thanks bro. i guess whatever is under 200 bucks for now. im tryn to set a budget now. been spending to much one the fishes.

I would think two AC110 wouldn't handle a 180. At least not an MFK'er's tank.:D
