Tank's been up and running for ~1.5 years. I'm moving in to my apartment a month, so I'll just keep it going as is for now. It'll be my 3rd time moving it, and I usually end up keeping about half the water to prevent stress on the fish. As far as I know the LFS is pretty good. They have an awesome selection of salt and fresh, and prices aren't horrible.
On a side note, I'm considering something like flame moss (I had luck before, it took root in the gravel in another tank with horrible lighting) but I probably won't do that until I get around to changing the substrate. something about plants and gravel just sketches me out, because I feel the need to gravel vac.
I'm also only using one extension on the ac110 intake, rather than the 2 that come with it, because I'm testing the current throughout the tank. I really want to incorporate some type of shrimp into the setup without mincing them in the filter... I have an AC30 sitting around but I feel like that filter's a joke
